Florent “Metroflox” Broucke is the Jungler of ZENA Esports, he joined the Genoese organization in the Spring Split, after he showed good performances they decided to keep him also for the Summer Split.

This decision was completly correct for ZENA as Metroflox at the moment is by far the best performing Jungler of the entire Championship.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak with him about his past and the his expectations for the LAN Finals.

Who is Metroflox? When and how did you start playing League of Legends?

ZENA Metroflox: Metroflox is a 22 Years old French Jungler currently playing for ZENA Esport.

I started playing League of Legends back in Season 3 when an old friend of my brother created an account for him and one for me.

Later on we played a lot together alongside one of my cousin, i enjoyed the game and just kept playing it.

You started playing a lot of time ago, when did you realize it was time to try playing competitive league?

ZENA Metroflox: My goal has never been playing competitive League of Legends, i had played until i was 18 Years old just for passion.

I used to set really high standards for pro players, even the semi-pro ones.

But at one point i decided to check in detail and i just saw that i could deserve a spot in LFL3.

When i realized it, it became all i had in mind, i had to go pro.

How did you feel during your first pro season?

ZENA Metroflox: I joined a team named Olympe Esports back in the days, there we had a lot of rookies and we were all in the same boat.

In the beginning i was satisfied with my season and i had the chance to learn a lot of new good things and also have lots of fun.

All of this has been possible thanks to the awesome coaching staff and players we had in the team.

Looking at the present, have you been lucky with staff and teammates here in ZENA esports?

ZENA Metroflox: Yes, one of the reasons i decided to stay with ZENA is because they always believed in me as much is i believe in myself, i am sure i can be a great Jungler.

I want to thank them for their trust by performing when it matters, the staff and the structure don’t deserve only a 4th place, we have to win.

Teammates wise, we didn’t get the offseason we expected, but I’m still very happy with this specific team, i really hope we can get an happy ending.

We fight for each other and this really matters a lot, so generally yes, I’m happy with ZENA, i can play my own game thanks to them so i am very lucky to be here.

You’re for sure having an insane season and you already got further than 4th place, are you satisfied with your performances in this split?

ZENA Metroflox: I’m really happy we made it to LAN and EMEA, hopefully we can make it also to the main stage,but it would be a lie to say that I’m already satisfied.

For me, being satisfied means beating GMB and CG, not just making it to a game 5.

Now I actually have the chance to face GMB (even though they’re missing three of their main players, which is unfortunate) and CG here in Italy, to avenge those two game 5 losses we had in the past splits.

Only after beating them, I’ll really feel satisfied.

Compared to last split, I think I’m performing way better individually, and honestly, I feel a bit sad that I couldn’t provide that same level back then, because maybe we could have gone even further.

Those answers really show us your commitment and energy, and i think the Italian community loved you during this split mainly because of it, whenever you play everyone sees your passion and energy, do you think you’re the best Jungler of this summer split?

ZENA Metroflox: No, I don’t think so.

What I believe is that I can be the best Jungler of this Summer Split if I step up in the upcoming matches.

But right now, I can’t call myself the best when the CG Jungler beat the team I lost to, and also won in the BO1.

In the end, if you want to be the best Jungler, you have to show up in those last matches, because that’s what really matters.

Last question, are you hyped for the LAN Finals?

ZENA Metroflox: Yes, i can’t wait to enjoy Italy with my teammates, eat my first real Pizza, i really do believe that our team can lift the LIT trophy, we will work for it and will work to show it even in EMEA as well.

We may not look like the best team in the best league but we will do our best to show up when it matters.
